Please check back in November for more information on our Christmas Giving Tree 2017!
Click HERE (link coming in late November 2017) to share the joy of the true meaning of Christmas by participating in our 3rd annual Christmas Giving Tree Project for local families in need. This year we are planning to choose 6-8 families through The University of Utah’s Women’s Resource Center, adding a few things they need and a few things they want to their list. Once all families are chosen and the lists are complete, please choose one or more of the items listed in our SignUpGenius then email Kelly Wood at email@example.com for directions on where and when to deliver your unwrapped gift. Thank you for helping us make this Christmas a little bit brighter for these families, we couldn’t do it without you!
In 2017 there will also be a Christmas Giving Tree – Part 2. Last year Candy Cane Corner ran out of toys. They ran out of toys! When we heard about it we decided that there was no way we would allow that to happen again this year, so just after Christmas 2016, our moms started shopping sales online and stockpiling gifts. Right now we have quite a few of their most needed items, but will be collecting more all throughout the year to ensure that every child and adult that needs something at CCC this Christmas gets it. Want to help?
Here is a list of most needed items at Candy Cane Corner:
- Toys for Children on All Ages
- Men’s,Women’s and Children’s Underwear – All Sizes
- Men’s,Women’s and Children’s Shoes – All Sizes
- Teen Clothing and Gifts
- Baby Toys – Infant Through Toddler
- Gift Cards to Target and Old Navy
- Adult Coloring Books
- Men’s and Women’s Clothing – Sizes Large and XL
If you would like to order any of the items listed above online, please have them shipped to Sippy Cups & Chardonnay at 2898 W 8870 S, West Jordan, UT 84088 and we will store them until the Candy Can Corner opens up in late November. With your help let’s make this Christmas extra special for those in need in Salt Lake County!
Q: What is Candy Cane Corner?
A: A holiday store that provides a dignified and empowering opportunity for around 3,000 low-income families and individuals who are participating in programs at the YWCA Utah, The Road Home, and Volunteers of America, Utah to select new holiday gifts for their families.
